Description

MPowered Baseball is proud to introduce Hand Split Billets featuring European Beech.

This species is approved by major league baseball and has the best attributes of all woods. Hard, flexible and very balanced. Many players say the balls jumps off the sweet spot like no other wood and can mislead outfielders into thinking they are correctly judging the trajectory of line drives and fly balls when in fact the ball sails over their head.

1 review for Wood Bat | Euro Beech Pro M^P-004-33-1

  1. JD

This has been the best bat I’ve owned for two reasons. It seems almost indestructible, and the ball really does jump off the bat faster than other bats I’ve owned.

I’ve had a 34″, no cupped end MP004 Euro Beech for over 5 years. All the paint on the barrel is fading from bashing baseballs and machine balls, but it has shown no signs of wearing out. For the first four years, I used it exclusively in the cage, because the sound of the bat hitting the ball is deceptively muted. It gave me the impression that it didn’t really have great pop when I first tried it. I figured it would be great for BP, because pop doesn’t matter there, and it seemed to have less vibration with mishits, so it was durable. After an unprecedented four years of regular cage use without issue, last year I used it for outdoor BP for the first time, and I was really surprised how well the ball traveled.

Just last week, I was able to test exit velocity on all my bats (maple, hickory, and this euro beech model). I hit off the tee and from pitched balls; this bat consistently exceeded the others by 1 to 2 mph, with a single instance that exceeded all others by 5 mph. It will be my game bat for this season, and I’m buying a 33.5″ one now.
